I decided to buy this unit because it was advertised to be compatible with Windows and MacOS which I was planning to buy in next few months.
Also it was stated, that it will work with Reaper. It is not cheap, but the price seemed reasonable. Overall, the hardware is very well built and faders are running smoothly.
The real issue is with the software, which does not exist. According to instruction, I was supposed to download a community-driven plugin for Reaper to support this unit. Indeed, some of the functionality was working as expected. The plugin is not available for MacOS I started to learn how to script using this extension. After 5 or 6 nights I have something working, but the device was constantly crushing Reaper after several minutes of use.
Then I thought, “wait, I don’t want to develop the software for this unit, it is not my job, I want to use this unit”. I posted a ticket on Icon support page.
