Based on what you describe, it sounds like you have a take folder on that track although you would get the loop tool or the resize tool on the right end of the take folder.

I have looked at this track and I don’t have a flatten option when I bring up that menu. What am I missing. How do I make tracks like this editable in regards to fades.
